'Well Charged' is a compilation of tracks from the Channel One label... one of the most influential and productive labels to have ever emerged from Jamaica.

Produced by Prince Far I and aided and abetted by Adrian Sherwood 'Cry Tuff Dub Chapter One' is one of the all time great dub albums.

'Kool Roots', initally released in1978, collates most of the Earth & Stone's songs for the Channel One label with blistering dubwise versions.

Prince Far I was pursuing new goals here as he set about investing his earnings in yet more recordings... able now to fulfil an ambition to concentrate on producing his own records and those of other artists too.

Don Prendes sang with Pablo Moses in the 'Canaries' which eventually morphed into Pablo Moses harmony singers for the classic Revolutionary Dream album. He cut a few sides for himself and on this production by the Chung brothers he takes the lead vocal. Top notch roots.

An excellent double header from Horace Andy and Augustus Pablo. Both sides are on the 'Children of Israel' rhythm and date from around 1975. Horace Andys vocals for Leonard Chin were always superb and 'Children of Israel' is no exception.

A Fragile twisted record that sounds like it was squeezed through a very high frequency mangler before being committed to vinyl! They truly do not make records like this anymore.

Spaced out instrumental from The Dynamites. Clancy Eccles early 70s productions were often much more frantic than this. But 'Red Moon' is a laid back stroll that plays off and and around the Blue Moon melody.

Funky in that Kingston way that was hugely popular in the Uk in the early 70s. Has an excellent King Tubby mix of the same track on the flip-side. Clancy Eccles house band never sounded better.

Late period rocksteady from Hemsley Morris. An excellent song from the very under recorded Hemsley Morris. Has Joe Higgs on the flip-side with 'Don't Mind Me' sounding as wise as ever. Backed by The Dynamites and produced by Clancy Eccles.

Deep roots dub plate mix from Yabby You. Spiritual and ethereal from the 'Jesus Dread'. His music still resonates and this is a great of example of him at the peak of his powers.

Heavyweight roots from Barrington Spence. Produced by Yabby You and originally released on the Prophesy label. Its gets a run out on the Hot City label this time around.

Extended 12' mix of Lee Perry 'Silver Locks' over the Curly Locks rhythm. Righteous Flame on the flipside with a previously unreleased dubplate 'Jah Jah Words'. A monster. You need this. Each 12 comes in a hand stamped sleeve. All the sleeve are made out of re-cycled card and most have different interiors.

Never before released as a 45 and a true obscurity!! Little is
known about Aleas Jube other than that he was a character who hung
out at the Black Ark studio. Never the less this is an excellent
piece of music led by an excellent drum pattern that propels Aleas
Jubes vocals into the Black Ark stratosphere.

Screaming hypnotic and essential from Time Unlimited. Perry and the Black Ark at its best.

Two cuts of the Slim Smith vocal rhythm 'Stand up and Fight'. Recorded in 1972 we have paired up 'Stand Up and Fight' vocal with its instrumental piece 'Dr Seaton'.

A jazzy led instrumental from Saxophone player Lester Sterling. First appeared in the UK on the Count Shellys label but was originally released in Jamaica.

Perhaps not one of Big Youth’s better known records and so Pressure Sounds are thrilled to release this rarity from one of Jamaica’s greatest ever deejays coming at you on heavyweight seven inch vinyl with a specially printed picture sleeve.

One of his strongest releases ‘Guys Get A Blow’, credited to Pat Francis on the Teem label, is a rare vocal outing that showcases his excellent voice and production skills (this man was multi-talented!) and which demonstrates all the classic hallmarks of a Black Ark recording. Another high quality Pressure Sounds release on heavyweight vinyl with a custom printed picture sleeve.

Prince Jammy at his very best... a slice of mainstream pop spun off and taken somewhere else.

‘Problems’ was the first seven inch release on Pressure Sounds and, for this pressing of this oft versioned Horace Andy tune, we have coupled it with a next Augustus Pablo cut to the rhythm ‘Peace & Love Dub’.

The aching ‘I Don’t Want To Lose You’ is from one of fabled vocalist Paul Whiteman's (aka Paul Blackman) rare forays into the recording studio coupled here with one of King Tubby’s greatest ever dub mixes.

‘She’s So Fine’ is a beautiful vocal from the multi-talented Glen Adams. This rarity comes complete with added harmonies missing from the better known version of the song. Coupled here with a sympathetic instrumental cut of the same rhythm entitled ‘Soul Survivor’ by sax man supreme Val Bennett

Both sides of this double A side date from the late sixties. 'This Life Makes Me Wonder' is a soulful tour de force from Delroy Wilson coupled here with George Dekker's 'Foey Man'... another underground classic.

Limited re-press of the Kunta Kinte rhythm. Dj Kentaro re-works the classic sound system rhythm Kunta Kinte. Rhythm was built by the Revolutionaires at Channel One in Jamaica. Remixed in Tokyo by Dj Kentaro.

This version to Dennis Brown's classic 'Song My Mother Used To Sing' is one of a handful of self produced 45's released by U Roy on his own Mego Ann label in the early seventies.

Now on a heavy weight vinyl in a picture sleeve.

This much in demand forty five from Native was first released on Tommy Cowan's Arab label in the seventies.
