I have been a Lee Perry Devotee long before I got addicted to Reggae Music.
And the Pressure Sounds Staff have released over the years excellent Reissues.
The new THE RETURN OF SOUND SYSTEM SCRATCH tops everything!
The previous Release of SOUND SYSTEM SCRATCH was already a Revelation
of the highest order, as it was filled with original sound system exclusives for the
70ties Dancehall. We nowaday Listeners would have been never be able to listen to
that stuff if there weren`t Pressure Sounds with their excellent Reissue Programm.
What makes the followup even better is the throughout excellent sonic condition
of the tracks (which were not so on the first edition due to the natural bad condition
of some acetates) and the fact, that this time we have a mixture of exclusive
Discoplates of spine and skin shivering Perry Tracks and never before released
Roots Songs like Jimmy Rileys "Darkness in the City", Candy McKenzies funky
