Information

Miles Davis had already spearheaded two major jazz movements (cool and modal jazz) and was about to initiate another major change: the album's cover sports the phrase 'Directions In Music By Miles Davis' above the title.

Most of the musicians, including Wayne Shorter, Joe Zawinul, Jack DeJohnette and Chick Corea, who played on the album went on to become giants of the seventies fusion movement.

  • Bunny Lee & Friends - 4 track dub plate 10Bunny Lee & Friends4 track dub plate 10

4 killer dub plates from Striker Lee. Not on the vinyl 'Next Cut' album. All hot and heavy and previously un-released versions. The first 50 come in a hand made recycled card sleeve made from the left over 'Full Up' sleeves. Top draw.

Just when you thought the Bunny Lee catalogue was exhausted a rummage around Bunnys never ending supply of tapes has brought you this gem. Next Cut has a plethora of outtakes alternate mixes and slipped down the back of the sofa gems!!! A fine album that gives you a listen to the studio banter and a small talk that permeated Kingstons music scene.

Clear slick production on the A side as Ernie Smith asks 'Tell Me Why' backed by the kind of rocksteady Mr Lynn Tait. The Flipside again features Lynn Tait with Mr Dooby. Nice rocksteady from Merritone. Lovely pressing from Dub Store.
