Both sides of this double A sided record date from the late sixties and are upbeat dance orientated rarities that have long been highly prized, and subsequently highly priced, on the revival circuit. George Dekker’s ‘Foey Man’ track is an established underground classic and its obscurity has added immeasurably to its appeal. Unjustly overlooked on its original release ‘Foey Man’s reputation has continued to grow and grow over the ensuing years. Delroy Wilson’s ‘This Life Makes Me Wonder’ is a soulful tour de force from one of Jamaica’s greatest ever singers. Its deep lyrics are set to a seriously up tempo rhythm and it is rightly regarded as one of Delroy’s best ever records. Both tracks were produced by Bunny ‘Striker’ Lee and both first appeared on the Carib-Dis-Co label operated by the Caribbean Distributing Company on Orange Street, Kingston.
