This release is a certifiable classic from one of Jamaica’s greatest ever singers Keith ‘Slim’ Smith lead vocalist with the Uniques vocal harmony group. ‘Lets Get Together’ is a slow, soulful slice of rock steady reminiscent of R&B singer Sam Cooke at his most moving where the late, lamented Slim wrests every last drop of emotion from a heart rending song. Slim is backed here by The Webber Sisters jaunty ‘My World’, an upbeat obscurity, on a fabulous facsimile black and orange Carifta label.
