Dub music simply doesn't get any better than this. The set has been totally remastered, resplendent in the original black and white cover artwork, with all the usual excellent Pressure Sounds graphics, photographs and extensive liner notes based around a recent reflective Jimmy Radway interview. The Compact Disc features five bonus dub/instrumental tracks including ‘The Great Tommy McCook’ and dubs to Leroy Smart’s ‘Happiness Is My Desire’ and Joy Lindsay’s ‘This Child Of Mine’. |

ahhhhhhh.... thank you so much for these heavy horn action dubs. like it says in the liner notes, with a better distribution this would be enjoying classic status. such a shame, but better late than never. definitely one of the most important re-issues of the year. |

A genuine lost classic
When an album is described as a lost classic, it usually because it wasn't the great in the first place. This doesn't apply to 'Dub I'. From 1st track to last this is a collection of tough riddim's, most of which haven't been versioned to death, given a proper going over in the echo chamber. Jimmy Radway obviously hasn't got the props he deserves, this is a timely reminder of what a great producer he was, and a heavy-weight slab of 70's dub in the roots tradition to boot. That great, great music like this can still be re-discovered decades after its release, and sound as fresh as it does is remarkable. A lost classic indeed. |

Deep, complex and addictive
I first heard a few tracks of this on Mark Lamarr's sadly missed reggae show. Since I bought it several months ago, I simply can't stop listening to it. Every time you listen to it, something new comes out. Thank you for bringing this true classic back from the dead! |

Dub I
I have been buying Reggae records for over 30 years now.......and quite simply this is one of the best Dub albums I have heard. A classic of the genre. Errol Thompson is criminally under-rated as a Dub mixer/engineer. Thankyou Pressure Sounds ! |
