Information
Producer Joe Gibbs, engineer Errol 'Errol T' Thompson known as 'The Mighty Two' together with The Professionals house band recorded some of the heaviest, pounding music of the seventies and turned the Joe Gibbs' label into a hugely successful hit factory.

On 'No Bones For The Dogs' we have focused on their dub output and collected together some of the most outstanding tracks from the period. Many of these tracks have never been released on CD and have not been available on vinyl since they were originally pressed on Jamaican seven inch singles. Standout tracks such as 'Earthquake', 'Babylon Bridge' and 'Burning Version' display a stunning sonic depth and range largely due to Errol Thompson's engineering genius and Joe Gibbs early training as an electronics engineer.

With brilliant artwork and graphics and full colour CD booklet and double vinyl package this is another stunning Pressure Sounds package for your delight.

Joe Gibbs - No bones for the dogs

Really beautiful collection from Pressure Sounds. This is my first meeting with Joe Gibbs dubs and it was very striking. Best track is the title song with nice horn arrangement and also the cut of Culture song Im Not Ashamed. Higly recommended for all dub lovers. More music like this!

No Bones for the Dogs

This issue shows there's hope for Humanity... on LP, too double wonder.

Superb Rhythms, echos and general dubbing it up in the Studio. No wasted tracks!

Worth the price just to have Earthquake - a kind of Dub Nocturne

The Mighty Two

Wicked collection of dubs from the mighty two, Joe Gibbs and Errol ET Thompson. Lathered in mind-bending effects and mixed up with a healthy dose of delay. The musicianship and production on this record is outstanding. Highlight: dreamy version of Tribal War. Ace!
